Q: ios 6.1.3 WIFI problem

I believe it is spelled 'field', not 'firld'.

Definitely firld. Apple's dictionary didn't correct it. It must be correct in that context. Ask Siri.

TJBUSMC1973 you do relise that there are a bunch of us subscribed to this thread who are looking for real answers to this problem. instead all we are getting is emails notifying usof your petty squables over spelling mishaps.

Please either contribute something material here or just get off the thread.

Hey, maybe you want to direct those comments to Marcio & Sid as well?  Or perhaps you've decided to just ignore the fact that Marcio jumped back in, without adding anything to the conversation.  I was actually answering Nemesis865's question originally when Marcio came out of hibernation.

If you're going to comment on the exchange between myself & Marcio/Sid, at least have the courtesy to recognize the overall situation.

And I've contributed plenty.  There is no official response from Apple on this issue.  If you have a warranty, use it.  If not, pay for the discounted replacement.  Simple.

Just wanted to update you that it's been a week since I got my 4S fixed and I have been using the wifi constantly since then, and it's working pretty fine.

My Iphone 4s has this problem as well but the bluetooth works just fine.

The problem is only with the wifi. I even went to a lab where the wifi chip was replaced by a new one but nothing chenged. All of this started after upgrading to 6.1.3

Apple have replaced my phone no questions asked, so I think they know this is a problem

Sure, they are aware of the problem.  No one (reliable) ever said they weren't.  It's just not a prevalent issue.

It's a hardware defect.  Report it within your warranty period, and you're just fine.

TJBUSMC1973My warranty ended already so I went to a private lab who deals only with iphones. My friend works there. They've tried a few things,one was replacing the WIFI component, which did not work.
