Messaging
hi i want to decouple an i pod touch from my i phone - remove the number from the i pod touch - i cant seem to do this
iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.1.3

Try logging out of Messages on your phone Settings>Messages>Send and Receive.
Do the same on your iPod. Wait a while. Then sign back in on your iPod. When you get signed in, then also sign back in on your iPhone.
If that does not work then you will have to use an Apple ID not associated with an iPhone with iOS 6 for Messages on the iPod.
