Hi sberman,
Done all of that you have sent, It's no use... I have to bring it back to my authorized Apple reseller and ask them to have a look at it.. ***** big time that this happend!
Thanks for your help.
Merv
Right, if you've even tried the restore process shown in step 5, and gone through a successful restore that did not solve the problem, then yes, you should seek assistance from the folks that sold it to you.
Good luck!
Mervin,
I searched the forums for this issue, because I had the same problem. I was a little worried about no longer having access to my hotspot after the upgrade to 6.1.3. Like you, the option for the hotspot was completely missing (not just greyed out) after the update. I am also using an iPhone 4S.
The good news is that I found the way to fix it, at least for me. I hope it works for you.
Go to Settings > General > Cellular > Personal Hotspot. Just turn it on. That should make the "Hotspot" option on the main settings page reappear for you.
I hope that helps. 🙂

After much searching, I managed to find where the personal hotspot option went. Go to settings/general/cellular/ Personal Hotspot and turn it on. It will now be activated and appear in the settings menu. Hope that helps. Marc
On my iPhone 5 I had to go to Settings/General/Mobile Data/ Personal Hotspot and turn it on. It will now be activated and appear in the settings menu. Hope that helps.
Thank you! I've been searching everywhere for this fix & you solved it!
🙂
...this helped me, thanks!
