My youtube app has suddenly disappeared from my home screen of my ipod 5g. How do I get it back?

Suddenly I can no longer find my youtube app icon. If I search my ipod it does show up and I can open it. If I go into the App Store it shows under purchased and I can also open it from there. But the icon is missing from my home screen. I looked in settings under restrictions but youtube is not listed. I even looked under utilities to see if I accidentally dragged it there but it's not there. Where could it be?
