diesel vdub they are turned on, unless there's some new hidden menu, my new MBP Retina and 4S all fully up to date with software will not connect, I even bought an app from the mac app store which connect finally but it lasted for 1 day. Can you explain how you have turned yours on as I've had iPhones and MAC's for years. It works flawless in my 2011 Corolla so it's working and on alright, but will not connect to anything else at all. Wireless has never been a problem.

I have never had an issue with Bluetooth on my iPhones. If your Bluetooth is on and not connected to a supported device troubleshoot the issue that is occurring.

FYI, connecting to a computer is ONLY supported for tethering.

Im having the same problem. My wi-fi is grayed out and my Bluetooth just keeps turning like its trying to connect. Any help with solutions would be appreciated.

That is exactly how it is supposed to work when there are not bluetooth devices around in pairing mode.

If the Wi-Fi is greyed out... it does not matter how many hotspots are in proximity, it will not work until you resolve the underlying issue.

Upgrading iOS does not break hardware.

It can cause hardware that is marginal to fail.

This would occur regardless of iOS version that the user attempts to update to.
