Where are my rented movies on my mac? Can only find my purchased movies
Where are my rented movies on my mac? I can only find my purchased movies and tv shows. Rented movies are in my account history, so I have definitely rented them

Have you checked the download section (the down arrow) in the upper right corner of iTunes?
You can also look in the following "rented" area.

There is no "rented" tab on my screen...all the others are there!
Rented tab will only appear if you rented something and you still have time to watch it.
I now think I understand your issue. Did you rent it on your mac or on the Apple TV? If you're trying to find rentals on the mac the sekect the "Movie" tab in the upper left corner. Once there you will see the dropdown for Movies. Selct that and then "Rentals" will show in as an option under the moives tab.
Sorry, no rentals showing up. I had already tried what you suggested. Is it maybe because I rented the movies on Apple TV? Maybe they can't be seen on any other Apple device? (But that's what i thought all these wonderful devises were supposed to do!) All my music appears on all my devices, but no go with the rental movies.

Renting on the Apple Tv shouldn't matter because the rentals are all tied to your Apple ID - so they will show on any device with the same ID.
When did you first rent the movie?
Did you ever start the movie when you first rented it?
What device are you attempting to watch the rental on?
Rented on apple TV, tried to download it....took ages as our internet connection is crap. Haven't started to watch it yet. Want to watch it on apple TV, but looked for it on my mac as i thought it may download quicker on it....that's when I discovered it did not show up on my mac
Okay so if you started the download on the Apple TV but it never finished then you will most likely NOT be able to see it on the mac. The Mac will add a "Rented" tab in the movie section of itunes once a movie has been downloaded. I think your issue on the Mac is that the movie never completed on the Apple TV and the rented tab will not show unless there is a movie waiting to be viewed that was already downloaded. If this is the case, you should call iTunes customer service to see if they can cancel the Apple Tv download so that you can start it on the Mac.
