When I try to open a pdf with Adobe Acrobat Reader 11.0.02 from Safari 6.0.3 I just get a solid black area and an error telling me to shut down Acrobat with error number 1.9
I have all the latest versions and I have tried running Safari and Acrobat Reader in 32 bit mode but it does not help......

Just downloaded Google Chrome and it works fine from that, so it's something wrong with Safari....

I have two macs sitting beside each other, both running Safari pointed at a .pdf file; one runs adobe just fine, the other shows black.
No amount of pawing through the Preferences tree shows me anything remotely relevant.
I'm having the same issue. iMac opens files fine in Safari, Macbook Pro does not. Has anyone been able to solve this riddle?
