My Java will not work again. I have the latest Java update. Did Apple disconnect the plug in for Java again? If so, is it fixable? Might it be permanent this time? Apple usually issues a fix of some sort and restores Java after a brief outage but seemingly not this time.

It depends on your Mac OS version and if you are using Java provided by Apple in earlier OS versions or if you are using the version provided by Oracle. Apple provides some info (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559) on how to re-enable web start.

Thank you for the site. It is new to me. My Java magically came back today so I am guessing Apple disconnected, the reconnected the plug in again. I wish they would share info on this when they take an action.
