hi voker!

okay, the standard meaning of a code 10 is:

This device is either not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed. (Code 10)

ipods use the standard Windows USB mass storage drivers. so let's see if the advice from this MarkJones post helps with that:

hi!b,
well there is a little problem at you suggested solution

First, make hidden folders visible. Open My Computer and choose Tools/Folder Options/View tab. Click on 'Show hidden files and folders' and click OK.< __ I found it

In the Add New Hardware Wizard, have it search in C:\windows\inf for usbstor.inf. This file is required for windows to properly configure the driver. If Windows finds the driver there, you're done.M<__it didnt found it !

If Windows does not find the proper driver there, copy usbstor.sys from C:\windows\servicepack\i386 to C:\windows\system32\drivers.< _______ window cant found this file: servicepack

If you can't find the usbstor.inf file on your system, you can get it here: usbstor.inf<- i have

After copying the usbstor.inf driver file to C:\Windows\inf, right-click on My Computer and choose ‘Manage.'<__when i copy it on the destination, it said window has already got this file, it asked me if i change it or not, i press yes then it replace the old one! User uploaded file

Click on the button labeled 'Device Manager.'<------no proublem

Click to open the list under 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers.'< ____no proublem at here

Right click on any mass storage devices with the exclamation icon next to them and select 'Update Driver.'

Check the option 'Install from a list or a specific location' and then click to continue.<_no proublem

Check next to 'Include this location in the search' and enter 'C:\windows\inf'.< ____i have did it

Click on 'Next' and follow the steps to complete the driver installation .....< ____-window cant find a software better than what is using,so it didnt didnt show any continous step just finish!and the result is ,still cant dected

and now i am thinking should i re-install the window

hiya!

okay, it sounds like you do have the correct drivers installed in that case.

there are a couple of other things mentioned in the Windows troubleshooting information for a code 10:

Explanation of Error Codes Generated by Device Manager

... and i've seen other connection problems with ipods confuse Device Manager and convince it to think there's no drivers installed. so perhaps try checking through these possibilities (even though you aren't getting the error messages mentioned on the document):

"Disk cannot be read from or written to" when syncing iPod or "Firmware update failure" error when updating or restoring iPod

hiya!

if you're comfortable with that, that might not be a bad idea.

another thing that might be worth a try (ahead of that) could be this:

Cleanup Windows Device Manager in SAFE MODE

... but that's not something i have any hands-on experience with doing. so be extremely cautious, and read the instructions very carefully prior to attempting this. ( especially if you've got a USB mouse and keyboard.)
