Opening old songs into the new autoload song?

When I open up old songs they have the same old settings such as the transport bar in the same place and AU intruments set up.

er..how do I open up old songs with old settings into the new autoload song I have just finished setting up?

An autoload song doesn't affect existing songs. It is autoloaded when you start a new project. For old songs you will have to save your settings to the song. Use of the autoload song is typically so that those preferences are saved with the song on creation.

So how do I save my new settings to older songs, is there is no way to get these settings into the older songs?

Depends on what settings you are talking about. If you want screensets, score styles, etc., Open the old song and use the Import Settings function to get the new settings.

Ok I think I get it now! lol

Just tried to drag the MIDI parts from an old song into the new AUTOLOAD song and it reverts to the old song settings setup.

I tried that but the song is 'blanked/greyed out' and I can't import it.

Check to see if the permissions on that song are locked. That's usually the reason why something is "grayed out" when trying to select it.
