IPad keeps freezing with games

My iPad keeps freezing up every time I try to play games. Any suggestions?

iPad, iOS 6.1.3

Do you get freezes with non-game apps? How much free/available space do you have?

Frozen or unresponsive iPad

Resolve these most common issues:

• Display remains black or blank

• Touch screen not responding

• Application unexpectedly closes or freezes

Non-gaming apps work just fine & I have 5.5G usage left. Some of my game apps work and others do not, like i was playing Wheel of Fortune last week just fine and now when it opens up to the first screen the screen freezes for about 5 minutes and then my whole iPad shuts down. I can't seem to find my Game Center app anywhere on my iPad either. Can this be part of the problem?
