i have window 7, iTunes 11 and Outlook 2010 and I cannot get my calendar to sync. It used to sync, but as I tried Cloud,and updated to different versions, it stopped and has never been able to get my stuff off my computer calendar

I have not been able to sync my iPhone or iPad calendar items in forever and it's driving me crazy. The last time I could I had duplicates and triplicates and more of everything, when I tried to use the Cloud, which was really frustrating. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I have 3 emails. I personal, I business and 1 for general. I have my calendar on my general sbcglobal.net account, which I would also love to move to my gmail account, but I have tried to do this to no avail. Any suggestions would be most welcome. I am fairly technically savvy, but this has me stumped.
