my ipod touch wont turn off and on just shows the apple sign

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I Have an ipod touch 5th generation that worked fine, until one day it died and i connected it to charge and it kept showing the apple sign non stop, then it would just show the apple sign for a little bit, then the screen would turn black, then a few seconds later it would show the apple logo again. It just kept repeating the same procces. Please help me!!!!
