My ibook g4 has cpu 1.23mhz,1g memo,40g hdd.Could I upgrade the os from 10.4.11 to 10.5.6?
I got a system disk for 10.5.6,but the dvd driver couldn't read it.

You need to use a retail Mac OS X 10.5 DVD to upgrade. If your internal drive can't read DVDs, use a FireWire drive.

Is the 10.5 DVD a black face with a large silver X on it or is it a grey disk?
When ou put it in the DVD drive, did you then restart the computer holding the C key down?
If the disk is grey it is a machine-specific disk. To install ou musy restart holding the C key.
Is there an update pack for os10.4.11 to update to 10.5.6?
