my albums show 342 pictures (80 hidden) What does this mean and where are the other pictures?

Iphoto album shows 342 pictures (80 hidden) in upper rt hand corner? Where are the hidden pictures? and how add them back into the album?

Mac mini (Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5)

in iPhoto view menu ==> Click on Hidden
