Why is my screen flickering white lights?

Okay so I woke up to my iPod having flickering white lights that make my eyes hurt and is straining them. Um restarting it hasn't worked :/ and I can BARELY see the screen. My screen reminds me Of those old TVs with the lines going down them I have no idea what category it'd be in

iPod touch, iOS 4.3.3, Received it one year ago

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings (if you can)

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Or

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Seriously, no joke this happened to me and now it's completely back to normal.

I held the screen pressed down and the power button AND at the same time I prayed to God that my ipod will be fixed and after previously trying many fixes with avail....THIS WORKED!!! Have faith my friend, just believe that God can do it, petty a problem as it is, at the end it worked.

Why is my screen flickering white lights?
