Does anyone know what "Problem with Mac OS X Kernal" mean?

PowerBook G4, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 1.67 GHz Memory 2GB DDR SDRAM

You may be referring to a kernel panic, where you get a message in multiple languages to shut down? Kernel panics are usually, but not always, caused by hardware issues. See this Apple note on kernel panics.
