Reinstall the current OS X and use the Software Update to update Safari.
Best.
Unfortunately, the only way to recover Safari is by reinstalling Mac OS X. As you are using Snow Leopard, insert the Mac OS X DVD, hold the C key while your computer is starting and reinstall Mac OS X. After reinstalling, open > Software Update, and install the latest Safari and Snow Leopard versions. You won't lose anything.
If you want, the latest Security Update includes Safari 5.1.8, so you can reinstall it to get Safari working > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1642
Safari 6.0.3 only works with OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, not Mac OS X Snow Leopard
