No, there are no restrictions. Sometimes when I try to download more apps or record or take more pictures/videos, they just say I don't have enough storage. But my sister has an older version of an Ipod touch, and she has the same amount of gb as me and she has 30 something apps and a lot of pictures and other stuff. They never told her anything about storage.

Then I would never be able to download more apps than I have right now. Then what's the point of having an 8gb Ipod when I can barely download anything. My sister has a 8gb Ipod and it's the Ipod 3!! She has 100 something apps and 1000 something pictures with 10 something songs and other stuff. Would the only way of getting more apps be to delete more items to get more storage space?? Would I have to sync the Ipod in order to get more apps?? Do I have to do that everytime I want an app.

- Note that the new 5G iPod is only available in 32 and 64 GB and the only new 4G you can purchases is now 16 GB.

- Go to settings>General>Usage and see what is using the storage.

Also connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.

Come back with the results.
