Mine just started doing this yesterday. I had done my 3rd "run down" (or whatever the term is, lol) of the battery 6/9 and when I tried to recharge it overnight on 6/10, it only charged 3%! Left it plugged in all day while I was at work & at 5pm it was only up to 7%. It's always charged up to 100% within a few hours. I don't play a lot of games on it; mostly read online & recently started playing Scrabble (against the computer, not others).

Also, today I took it to work and it charged in the car up to 15% in a 40 minute commute. At work, I charged it up to 42% in 7 hours, and on the W_a_y Home it got up to 75%. I had to go to a client's house after work and left the iPad in my car while inside. It was NOT a hot evening (5:45-8:15) and when I got in the car, I opened the case to find it had dropped to 58% without my using it at all. It was also extremely warm, hot really. I also noticed that my charger at home was quite warm at the wall this morning and tonight the lightning dock was hot, too. At this rate it will take 2 days to charge completely! And I'm now afraid of how hot it will get while taking that long. Should I be taking it out of its case while recharging? It was never an issue before....

I've been using the charger that came with it (wall charger). What to do? I bought this iPad 4 directly from the Apple website & there is no Apple store within a 1.5 hour drive....
