We just just upgraded our Verizon fios Internet speed. Now my iPad is be dropping signal ALOT HELP

We just upgrade our Verizon Internet speed. They basically replaced regular cable co ax with firevwire from the outside box to router.

We have laptops, tablets, and also my favorite my iPad. Now my iPad is dropping the signal constantly. The tech was here Friday it is now Sunday I have him scheduled to come back tomorrow. The worst part is I play online Texas Holden poker and during regular games the signal keeps dropping. Also in the game they have tournaments and right in the middle of a tourney which I'm doing great.....waa waa the signal drops. HELP can anyone help.
