My Apple TV froze up in step one of latest update. what to do? Can't turn it off.

While trying to install the latest update, my Apple TV froze up during step one. I can't turn it off or start over. No response to remote. What to do???

Happened to me too. I turned it off anyway and restarted the update and it worked. I think step one is extracting the download step two is more critical and powering off then would be bad.
