how to move the home directory to a different drive?

I bought a new drive with larger capacity and would like to move the home folder into it.

I have copied the /Users directory to the new drive and changed all the Account's home folder. I was able to delete all the users home in the local drive and free up space. But unable to delete /Users/Shared and /Users. How do I configure the system to look at the new location for user homes?
