I was recently at the Apple Store Genius Bar for some hardware problems with my MBP. While I was there, I asked the Genius if he knew some way to reset iCloud data completely, using the data on my MBP to overwrite the mess that iCloud had become. He said there really wasn't. Does anyone have any suggestions? The information posted here about turning iCloud off and back on, etc. succeeded in mangling my data even worse. Most importantly, it appears that every Safari bookmark I ever had (including bookmarks I've deleted over several years) have all come back, unsorted. AAAAAArrrrrrrggggggh!

I don't know of any other cloud-based sync service that doesn't allow the user to specify which data set is to be used as a default or "reset" starting point.
