Missing GB instruments

i have had this macbook pro since november and I always had few instruments in comparisson to what i expected. i checked at the applestore on their macbooks to see if there were more instruments on my version laptop and there were a TON more, and those that had the exact same as mine had an arrow on the grayed out instruments saying to download to get the full version. i dont! please help this is realllly frustrating! am i supposed to reinstall? if so, how? n how can i guarantee i'll be able to use GB again because my laptop didnt come with a CD. my macbook pro is the OS X10.8.3 THANKS
