Question. I am a beginner and have put 2 newspapers into the newsstand. I would like to know how to delete them from the newsstand now..

Just long press on those newspapers and then after the start shaking press the 'x' on the top to delete them.

Were these newspapers free?
To my knowledge, all of the Newsstand Apps are free but contain in-app purchases for subscriptions or one-issue purchases.
Just as an FYI, this is the same procedure for deleting any app from your iPad.
Perhaps I should have worded this differently. I should have asked it the OP has paid subscriptions to the periodical(s). AFAIK, just removing the app does not end the subscription.
