network card speed

Hi, how can I know the network (wifi or ethernet) card brand and speed in the macbook pro osX 10.8.2? thanks!!

Speed of all new machines (certainly for the last 5 years or so) is gigabit ethernet, 802.11b/g/n for wifi.


System Profiler (Apple menu - About this Mac - More Info - System Report) tells you the vendor for each port - my 2010 MBP is Broadcom 5764 for the ethernet, and also Broadcom for the wireless.
