My iPhone 5 has a virus how do I confirm this and how do I get rid of it

it is not possible for your phone to have a virus unless it is jailbroken.

Your iPhone does not have a virus. Someone has compromised your e-mail account. Change the password for your email account.

Your computer was hacked or your email account was invaded. It has nothing to do with your iPhone. Unless its jailbroken, of course.

Your iCloud address was not hacked. The message was warning you that someone was trying to access your iCloud address. That someone was you.

LOL Too funny. Yes, someone tried accessing the OPs email account and that person was himself. The system i designed to email as soon as the first person accesses an account the very first time, even if it was the person who created the account. It's the same as the iTunes store when a purchase is made the first time using an iOS device or Mac or any other computer.

The same thing happend to me today on my personal hotmail account. My phone is not jail broken. I couldn't even tell you the last time I accessed my email from home. I got a spam email to my company account and business hotmail account. The recipent is from my personal account and shows a user picture that is only on my iphone 4gs . This picture is used for my twitter and instagram avi.

The sent messages for these spam email only show up in the sent folder on my iphone not my computer.

Ok same here, well for alot of those... But mines prob my ex.. And how do I tell if he jailbroken it before we broke up or installed some crazy program on it... ? I have 8 diff emails on here , and they keep getting changed so does my FB acct and other things that I only access thru my iPhone 5 ( he applied at apple to be a tech specialist) and his iPhone is jailbroken it's a 4s..... So how can u tell ?

And plzzz be nice I have been thru alot and I am just wanting to clean my phone off, I cannot erase my phone and the backup ( he created with a encrypted Pswd) <now the night before he left >obviously I can't get into it!

Make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and have them put it in DFU mode and Restore it as a new iPhone. You will then start off clean.

Thank you, but that's what I did at the store but I need the text conversations for court :/ so I can't delete them and restore..

But how can I tell if it is? If I have proof that he's tried to or did put something on my phone I have to bring that with me also...

Get a copy of the application Phoneview (if you have a Mac) or TouchCopy (PC or Mac) and transfer your text messages to your computer.

Do a search on your iPhone for Cydia, redsn()w or ultrasn()w. If you find anything then your iPhone is probably jailbroken.
