No, the TC has no connectivity at all to iOS devices.

The iPad and iPhone back up to iTunes on your Mac. Or, you can back up the iPad and iPhone to iCloud.

If you have your Mac set up to back up to the Time Capsule using the Time Machine application, then all of the data on your Mac is being backed up...including the iTunes folder with your iPhone and iPad data.
