Garage band won't recognize my guitar input. When I select M-Audio as my input source, I can see the audio level move on the system preferences>sound>input source. This indicates the signal has made it into my mac. However garage band shows no input.

Garage band won't recognize my guitar input. When I select M-Audio as my input source, I can see the audio level move on the system preferences>sound>input source. This indicates the signal has made it into my mac. However garage band shows no input.

I've attached M-Audio Fast Track to one of my USB ports. The signal level input registers on system preferences>sound>input source, but no matter what I do, I can't get Garage Band to recognize a signal input. Is this a common problem?

GarageBand (Mac) '11, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

Well, I had tried that prior to my question, but to be sure, I re-set my input / output to M-Audio through GB>preferences>Audio/Midi, but I still got nothing. Any other suggestions?
