I get a message "this accessory is not supported by iPad" when I connect the adapter to my iPad 2

When I connect the 30 pin digital AV adapter to my iPad 2 I get the above error message. I tried reset/ power recycle etc. No joy!

Then its probably not compatible. Where did you purchase it and how long ago?

Here is the compatibility chart and Adapter Versions...Althought this,many have problems even with the Official product and the Digital adapter....
