iPad closing screen randomly

Since I set up an ICloud email account to back up notes my iPad automatically closes my email screen almost everytime I try to check emails. FYI, my primary account is an exchange account. How do I resolve this. I don't need to back up notes and would delete my iCloud email if I knew how and if it would help.

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.3

This isnt normal when you add icloud email or and icloud account to your device, First try just a simple reset, hold down the home and power button for about 15 to 30 secs until you see the silver apple. Let you device come back up like normal and attempt to launch the mail app. let me know if its still happening after.
