iPod classics showing in computer (Windows 8) but not in iTunes

No one has an answer? This has been on here since March 25 and no one can answer? I have the same problems since I bought a new windows 8 Asus laptop. Looking for answers but they are not on this "support" web page.

I have the same problem but with windows vista. Itunes isn't regocnizing my ipod classic, but vista does.
