I dropped my iPhone in water yesterday. I dried it off and put it in as bag of rice overnight with return of all functions except that i cannot insert the recharging unit into the phone.Does anyone have any suggestions?

I dropped my Iphone5 in water yesterday.I dried it off and put it in a bag of rice overnight.All functions returned but now the male end of my recharger will not fit into my phone.Any suggestions?

Put it back in raw rice and let it dry for 3 - 4 more days. Overnight is not near enough time.

Did you check to see if there were any small pieces of rice imbedded in the charging port before you inserted the charger? If not, there may have been a piece inside it, and by inserting the charger, it got pushed in even further.
