Q: Why is my airplay from my mac book pro to tv  slightly delayed??  kinda choppy

What are the network speeds you are connecting between the ATV & router, and the mac & router? On the mac, hold down the option key and click on the wifi icon in the upper right. Check transfer speed. Depending on your router, you can see the wifi speeds each device is connecting at. Any transmit speed lower than 10 will cause problems (my mac is currently at 365).

Other network activity can also cause issues and distance between device and router as well
