Revolution season pass

I purchased the season pass for revolution and the second half of season one started last night. In iTunes however last nights episode is asking for 2.99 not saying download like the first half of the season does. Yet at the top of the revolution screen it states purchased. What is up with that?

i have the same problem.

i have a lot of season passes, and this has happened to me several times before.

basically, if you want to watch it now, you will have to rebuy it.

then, you have to "report a problem" to apple, and try to get the double charge refunded.

the first few times i had to do this, apple did refund my money.

however, sometimes you may get the "it's your fault, not ours" reply.

it's a bit annoying, to say the least.

also, "check for available downloads" is currently not working at all.

What I have noticed with "Check for available downloads" is it puts an iCloud download link available in your library. I have a Smart Playlist for unwatched TV shows. About a week or so ago I noticed that the "check" link would say "No available downloads..." but the episode would appear on the playlist with the iCloud link and I could download it from there. Very annoying but at least I get the content.

But, I am having the same issue with Revolution season pass, but do not like the idea of repurchasing and trying to get a refund. Sounds like a configuration issue on the iTunes store.

regarding the "up to 72 hour delay":

that's what makes it so frustrating when it happens:

you can see the episode is available for purchase, but because you have a season pass, you can't watch it without repaying.

some pass holders have reported having to wait up to a week after an episode posts.

this is probably the third or fourth time it's happened to me since apple instituted the cloud.

hopefully, it's just a glitch they're working out, and not official policy with regards to season passes.

I went round and round with iTunes support on the Check Available Downloads issue. Then I remembered Revolution had a new episode. It didnt show up as an iCloud purchase so went hunting. Found it had the $2.99 price tag. I have reported it to iTunes Support along with the Check Available Downloads issue, as well as a constant need for iTunes to collect my password... over and over again!

I also posted on Revolution's Facebook page that they not only spoiled a major event in the new episode by posting about it on Facebook when the had to know iTunes Season Pass owners were having trouble getting the episode.

I finally just paid the $2.99 and will ask for a refund. Luckily the Season Passes are back in the "Check for Available Downloads" however iTunes still asks me for my Apple ID password repeatedlly for each download available in my download queue. It is so flipping frusterating. I have tried EVERYTHING iTunes support has told me as well as everything I found in the forums. It still work work.

I really hope they bring the stability back soon! iTunes Season Passes have been VERY enjoyable for me. This glitch sort of tarnishes that ease of use. I feel like they owe me a free Season Pass with all the information I provided about these 3 issues over the past week. Now that the "Check Availalble Downloads" is working again, the senior rep isnt getting back to me. Its frusterating.

I've sent three reports to "Apple Support." First guy told me he had to do an investigation. Now have "senior" associate on the case doing??? I used to be "offered" The Stand episode for $2.99 purchase for the first couple of days and then it was $1.99.

Does anyone know if going into an Apple Store (we have one here) helps with this? Or do we just have to wait for engineering to get back from Spring Break or their Easter holiday?

I gave up on support and just paid $2.99 and then requested the refund. Got a response and credit within hours. Although they support rep sort of 'gave me a warning' I returned the favor by saying if they identify a problem such as this in the future, don't make the paying customer wait days to be able to download the episode. Ask them to buy it, issue a refunded credit.. And them fix it behind the scenes.

Not heard back via my Facebook post, my original support request from Apple and my feedback to the senior agent who warned me about refunds

After many many report a problem emails by me with 2 responses from "support" to do an investigation, I called itunes support and talked to someone this morning. She was not entirely clear but as I understood the situation is this: some kind of dispute between the tv show and apple over the Stand availability. NBC probably wants more money, perhaps. Anyway, this representative was very helpful and understanding (restored some of my lost faith in Apple). She issued me a credit so that i could "buy" the episode. But how the rest of the episodes will go is a mystery to me.

More money would be the most idiotic issue from either Apple or NBC. The HD Season Pass was $49.99! Not only is that like the top end of the pricing structure for TV season seasons in HD, but very few command that type of a price tag, especially for first season series. Now, NBC could be trying to get Apple to reduce their typical % off sales???

Not to mention, when you sign up for the season pass it CLEARLY states this will have ~22 episodes. Granted it also says the number of episodes can change. But the majority would understand that to be for the season as a whole. I have never seen a season pass fracture into Season 1 part 1 and Season 1 part 2 with an incremental price tag for part 2.

If they ask for another $50 for Season 1 part 2, I would simply quit watching the show on principle alone. It would also make me serously question doing ANY further season passes through iTunes. The end consumer needs to feel sale and secure in their purchase and the end consumer being asked for more money on something they have already purchased definitely takes that way.
