Hello there

I am getting kind of tired of my Macbook being really slow at times, crashing, hanging and just being annoying. I have installed quite a lot of apps in the two years I've had it, including a lot of c**p which has been uninstalled. I have a number of apps as startup items and background apps, probably also some that I am not aware of. Just checked the "page outs", it says 1,23 GB.

I have most of my stuff in dropbox, icloud or other cloud services, only a few things need to be backed up on a HD.

My question is: Would the best solution for me be to whipe the HD clean, reinstall OS X and "start from scratch", or it there an easier way of getting rid of all the junk I must have lying around?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
