Hello everyone!

I own a MacBook Pro that has Microsoft Office 2011 installed, but I seem to have lost its installation/activation key. Now, I'm worried since if anything were to happen, I need that key to re-install Microsoft Office. I found several programs on the web to find out the key on a Windows machine, but nothing on a Mac. I was wondering if anyone can help.

Thank you!

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3), Early 2011

    Contact Microsoft.

Look at your disks. It should be on there

If you downloaded it and paid for it from Microsoft they will have a record of it.

You will have to contact MS for that information. We cannot help since the key is not accessible once entered.

However, Office installs a preference file in the /Library/Preferences/ named com.microsoft.office.licensing.plist. Preserve that file along with all the other associated files installed by Office because it contains your license info.
