Need 1080p60 AVCHD for iPhoto, iMovie, Aperture

My Sony RX100 digital camera records video at 1080p60 AVCHD. That format apparently is not supported by iPhoto, iMovie or Aperture at this time.

Apple: How about updating your software ASAP to handle the latest industry standard video formats?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

No Apple here - just other users exactly like you and with just exactly your capability to make any changes to any Apple product - to contact Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback
