You can use your own Voice to Text built in right on your iPhone.
Just go to Settings, than, go to Acessibility, and than, make sure to activate the option Speak Selection.
By this way, when you select a text it will appear a botton "Talk" and you're going to have a Text-to-Speech.
try dragon dictate
What's wrong with the built in Speech-to-Text? Any place you see the keyboard, there will be a little microphone next to the space bar. Tap that, wait for the beep, dictate, then tap "Done".
I just tried and it works for short dictations, I'm gonna also try it for long dictations as well. I hope there is no limit. Thanks for the info.
I tried it and it seems to be the opposite, text to voice, while I am looking for voice to text, but thanks anyway.
For longer dictations, I dictate several sentences, stop, edit, then continue. If what you're planning on doing is to leave it running and attempt to transcribe an entirel class, I don't know how well that would work. Depending on the ambient noise, the number of speakers and their accents, you might have to do a whole lot of editing. You might be better off with an app that will allow you to record the lecture while taking notes, something like Super Note or Audiotorium.
Thank you Meg for the additional suggestions, yup, I was hoping to transcribe an entire class. So I guess I will check the app's you mentioned, thanks again.
Hi I did download the software you suggested which you mentioned in in our iphone.
However the This did not happen to my text
"text it will appear a botton "Talk" and you're going to have a Text-to-Speech."
I have to hold my finger on the taxt and it says copy and next word is text. so the text needs to behightlighted each time till the end, which is difficult to do. why does the "talk" appear on the bottom?
What do I need to do for that to appear?
Thank you in advance for the rplies.
Thank you for this suggestion, but that still just records the lecture. What about turing the lecture to actual text? Is there a away? or another program to do that?
Thank you in advance.
