How can I make sure that every digital copy I download is ONLY HD?

I've noticed that some digital copies that I've recently downloaded have been in HD. Examples include "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and "Game of Thrones". However, most of other digital copies only download in SD such as "Lincoln" or "Skyfall." I would like to know how to assure ONLY HD Digital Copies.
