Mountain Lion upgrade, now OS will not recognize wheel click button

Just updated iMac 7,1 to Mountain Lion. Directly following the upgrade, my computer will not recognize the wheel click button on my Logitech M510 mouse. I tried configuring the wheel click for any other function, but my computer will not recognize the wheel click button, generally. I did a repair permissions to no avail. The mouse is configured through Logitech's software, which has never posed a problem. Mouse worked perfect for many years until this moment.

This is a big valuable LOSS for me!! The 1 click ability to sort all windows was massive for work.

Any insight would be most appreciated and invaluable.

Thank you all
