iTunes Match doesn't upload artwork for purchased songs?

I've just noticed that on my iPad and iPhone that songs purchased through iTunes do not have changes in artwork from iTunes pushed to iCloud. (I use higher quality images than iTunes' 600x600 for the iPad's Retina Display). However, track metadata gets synced fine.
