Why won't autofill work on Hotmail and Ebay?

I have just switched to a Mac because my Vista machine died, I detest Windows 8 and I was having trouble with autofill on IE9. I do a lot of eBay and it is very handy for the sign in and feedbacks to autofill, plus with the @ sign having moved I am slower typing in my email address every time!! I have all the settings right but it is not working....... any ideas?
