Unwanted interference

The itunes store page keeps loading up. I keep closing it. I use it very seldom - maybe only three or four times a year. I last synced my iPhone before going on holiday three weeks ago and since then I cannot stop the website from loading. Sometimes several times in 20 minutes. How do I stop this happening?
