Going to Europe...are Apple charging cords dual voltage?

My husband and I are going to Europe and were told that it is safe to plug in our Apple charging cords into the adapter (not converter) we have purchased. Just wanted to make sure this is correct and won't harm my notebook, phone or ipad. My adapter says that it can be used with converters or dual voltage appliances.
