Mar 27, 2013 8:06 AM in response to CTby NoahLivingston,Arno Pro was just an example. The same is true with other fonts, including Cabin (which is free: http://www.impallari.com/cabin) In Cabin, if you are typing with the Medium weight, then turn on italics, and then turn off italics, it doesn't revert to Medium, but goes to Regular, which is at the top of the menu.

Apr 9, 2013 8:42 AM in response to NoahLivingstonby NoahLivingston,It's not an issue with the font developer; it's an issue within TextEdit. Apple, are you listening? I don't know where else to submit a bug like this.
I don't actually use TextEdit as my main editor, of course. But it affects Scrivener, as it uses TextEdit's code throughout.

Apr 9, 2013 8:49 AM in response to NoahLivingstonby Topher Kessler,Try selecting all fonts in the Font Book utility and then choose the option in the File menu to validate fonts. Use this as a diagnostic to see if there are any conflicts.
