did anyone else find that they can't install iTunes? I click Download and immediately get a scree thanking me for downloading it. I get a box asking me if I want to Save (no option to Run) and when I click that the box disappears. No option to save it to

On advice from Apple Support I had to uninstall iTunes and re-install because it wasn't accepting my password although I set up a new one. But when I try to download it it immediately get a screen thanking me for downloading it then a box asking me if I want to save - no Run option. I click Yes and the box disappears immediately without asking me where I want to save it. The iTunesSetup.exe file doesn't appear on my desktop or in Downloads. Apple Support are stumped.

Can anyone help?

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

Thank you. After weeks of struggle with the Apple update, I got rid of all apple software on my computer and tried to reinstall iTunes and QuickTime. This did not work with Firefox, but now has worked with Google Chrome instead- which I hardly ever use. I really wish the engineers would stop trying to "fix" things that already work and then have to stop working and get "fixed" again. What you see is never what you get. And we still can't just talk to our computers and get the specific information we want.
