Q: Internet connection sometimes lost after waking from sleep

I sometimes loose my internet connection after waking from sleep. Here is a part from the system log which might be relevant:

It's an imac mid 2011, with mountain lion 10.8 and all updates. 16GB ram. 27 inch. 2.7Ghz quad core intel core i5.

The only thing that works is unplugging the ethernet cable and inserting it again.

Hi, sounds a bit like the Router/Modem or Cable, but...

Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712

    10.7 & 10.8…

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.

    10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

    This!

It does not seem to be caused by any "Router/Modem or Cable" issue. The error recurs only after wake from sleep.

The error is eliminated completely by resetting the interface  - until the next wake from sleep.

Reset the interface either of the following ways):

         1) Running "sudo ifconfig en0 down" and then "sudo ifconfig en0 up" in the Terminal

    or

         2) Deactivating and then reactivating the interface from within the System Preferences

    or

         3) Unplugging the ethernet cable and then plugging it back in

I've tried everything from changing the cable, rebooting in Safe Mode, using a different user account, deleting all network settings and reconfiguring all the interfaces after a reboot - to no avail. As soon as the machine is woken from sleep the issue recurs:

I haven't looked through all the logs you supplied so this answer might not be relevant, but when this happens to me, which it does randomly, I simply turn wifi off and back on again from the wifi icon in the menubar and I get wifi immediately. It's a simple fix if it isn't always happening. I've also noticed that if I do a full shutdown/startup, which can fix some glitches, it happens much less frequently afterward.
