Can anyone help me? Am I able to convert a word or publisher to a pdf using my MacBook Pro?
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
Open the document and choose File menu > Print > press PDF > Save as PDF.
Preview will open a .doc/.docx file directly. You can then export it as a PDF.
LibreOffice v4.0.1.2 (latest) can open .doc/.docx and MS Publisher documents. It too has an export to PDF capability.
